Deluxe Pass Review

Deluxe Pass review has been long overdue. It might have been a bit unfortunate, that we reviewed VideosZ first, which is a very similar site. It’s true that Deluxe Pass has been around longer, so some of our surfers felt that VideosZ was just a rip off. Let me assure you, it’s not that way. The thing is, that these big sites use a lot movies leased from big porn producer companies. Not all of them would like to be on such sites, plus the sites themselves are picky too. So the result is, that more sites are built from the same content pool.

So let’s get back to the site itself. Deluxe Pass has an AVS structure – that means one big opening page, but the content is spread over many different sites, each one with a separate design. These sites are maintained by different people, they make money by referring customers to Deluxe Pass. There’s 779 sites like that, at the moment. Even though most of them are simple, it’s still a huge jungle, which is just too big to totally get to know. I hate the fact that each time I enter a smaller site, it prompts me to enter my username and password again. It can get real annoying after a while.

But there is a bright side too – content here is quite diverse.
Most of it is still the classic hardcore stuff with pornstars, that you buy at stores. In fact, there’s a separate page for them, DVD Listing. The site says there are 500 DVDs listed, and 1500 in total. I guess that 1500 is just an estimate. You’ll find titles from the following studios: Acid Rain, Adam & Eve, Bizarre, Caballero, Coast To Coast, Dane Production, Don Goo Entertainment, Dreamland, Elegant Angel, Fat Dog, Flash Point, Hollywood, InXcess, Jet Multimedia, Jill Kelly Productions, LBO, Legend, Precious Video, Puritan, Rain, Red Light District, Simon Wolf, Sintec, Totally Tasteless Video, Typhoon, Wild Life, Zero.
You can search for a name too, or browse the movies by genre. After choosing one of them, you’ll get a link to the small site that contains it. A few titles are even available on more sites, in that case you get a ‘mirror’ link too. Many movies have behind the scenes footage too, which is nice.

However, if you browse Deluxe Pass by sites instead of DVDs, you’ll find some rare stuff too. Amateur movies, and photos too. The sites are sorted under categories too, though it could be more accurate. The categories are: DVD Archives, Pornstars, Oral, Ethnic, Lesbians, Teens, Amateurs, Fetish, Asian, Pictures, Gay. Yep, there’s a large amount of gay movies too, if that interests you.
The only thing that may give you some help not to get lost is the Top Rated Sites, Last Updates, Biggest sites.

Formats vary too, but most of them were in DivX/XviD (.avi) files. I appreciate that format, but if you have a problem with it, you better think twice, as there is no other choice for the clips. Quality is great most of the time! You should get ready to download a lot – there’s no low bitrate options, don’t even think about this site without a fast connection. My download speeds weren quite bad, but that’s from Europe – it may be better from USA. Fortunately they don’t limit the number of downloads, so you could still get good speeds using several threads, or a download manager. I’d appreciate some comments regarding download speeds, especially from people with a fast connection. Please, feel free to post!

This is probably the largest adult video site on the Internet – it claims to have more than 11 terabytes (11.000 gigabytes) of content at the moment. There’s more updates everyday. Not to mention it’s mostly great quality too. The price you pay for the quantity is uncentralized structure, which is messy. Also, Deluxe Pass might be slow, and you’ve got to enter your password many-many times. It’s really for the brave explorer types, even though if you’re not too picky, you could try your luck with the ‘Random Site’ feature. 😉 Membership costs 30$ monthly, there are no trial options. Deluxe Pass, VideosZ, and VideoBox comparsion – July 15th, 2005 by Furry Monster

These three sites are similar, all of them aim to archive a lot of porn DVDs online, and offer downloads. I’ve decided to write a comparsion, to make our readers’ choice easier. Deluxe Pass is the oldest one, VideosZ has been around for more than a year, while VideoBox is just a few months old.

Quantity: Deluxe Pass certainly has way more stuff than the other two, with an amazing 11.000+ gigabytes. It’s content is various though, you’ll also find amateur stuff too. Some movies are present on more little sites, so they’re counted more than once. If you only look at the listed retail, hardcore movies – I’d say VideosZ is up to par with it. VideoBox is the smallest one, but it’s still huge compared to an average porn site – it has over 400 titles.
Of course many movies match on these sites, but it’d be an ignorant thing to say, that they’re the same. There are differences in their selections.

Quality: Deluxe Pass and VideosZ were very close, both offering high quality content. Now that VideosZ started adding WMVs, I miss the DivX/XviD files, they were better in my opinion. Most of the movies are still multi-format on VideosZ though. You should also know, while you may find the highest quality files on Deluxe Pass, it has more diverse content, there’s some not so good ones as well. VideoBox loses this round, it’s generally medium quality.

Diversity: Deluxe Pass works in an AVS system, so different people to feed it with content. That means, there’s quite some rare, amateur stuff in here too. It is the only one to have photos, and a significant amount of gay content. You could spend ages exploring it. Mainstream, retail adult movies are present on all sites, all subcategories of them.

Comfort: VideosZ and VideoBox are the best ones in this aspect. All content is in one big database, searchable by title and actress. You can stream everything straight off these sites. VideoBox even has the amazing visual scene selection for streaming. Deluxe Pass can become annoying to browse. It’s like a jungle with all those little sites, lacking search features. You also have to enter your password a million times. As it’s all DivX/XviD, you can’t stream them, only download.
VideosZ has also lost some of its charm, since they switched to the DRM protected WMV format.

Speed: None of the sites did real well for me. In the busy hours, VideosZ and Deluxe Pass got pathetic sometimes. I couldn’t max out from VideoBox either, but it was still the best. However, one shouldn’t forget, that it’s still new. As I mentioned in the reviews, I’m from Europe – I’d appreciate American surfers’ reports in this matter. The conclusion is, that heavy use of download managers with multi-thread support is recommended.

Price: VideoBox wins, hands down. 10$ monthly is an incredible price for such a site. It makes people pay for porn, who never have before. DeluxePass and VideosZ come second hand in hand, with their 30$ monthly fee.

Sadly, even the great Deluxe Pass couldn’t survive the changes to the adult industry over the last few years, and struggled to stay current. They’ve sent out a letter saying they’ll be shutting down, so I’m going to go ahead and remove their listing. A real shame.
